Volunteer Opportunity Tutoring Mathematics
The
Muckleshoot
Tribal College is looking for a volunteer to tutor mathematics to
adults on Monday and Wednesday nights from 7:15
– 9:30 PM
at the new college building near the Amphitheater on Auburn
Enumclaw Highway. These
are math classes below the college “100” level.
They are seeking a student
with a strong
math background who would volunteer in exchange for a possible
letter of
recommendation. If a student just wanted to do one night that
would be great, but two
would be
preferable.
This is a good
opportunity to
get some
adult minority education experience. Minority experience is
helpful, and necessary, for admission to many teacher preparation
programs.
If you are
interested please contact Rich Bankhead, Site Coordinator, via
email at
rich.nwic@comcast.net
or by phone at (253) 735-6647 ext 119.
