Who’s at risk?

Anyone can get HIV-young and old, man and woman, heterosexual, rich or poor, and all racial and ethnic group-but everyone doesn’t face equal risk.

Young people who live on the street often exchange sex for shelter, security or food, and are thus at an increased risk for HIV infection.

Your risk comes from what you do, and who you do it with that is, how likely it is that the person you have sex or chare needles with is infected. But even if you are part of a community with a high infection rate, you can avoid getting HIV This information is from: http:  www.gmhc.org/basics/hiv/risk.html
