*Traditional Tools and Utensils

Our life style changed to Western way a lot from just a few years ago. That’s why we can’t find the tools and utensils easily in the big cities, but many of them have been used in everyday life in the countryside. This variety of the tools and utensils shows of how traditional Koreans lived.

An oil lamp; We used to use it when we didn't have a electric system.

Sewing Accessories; We sewed everything by hand with them.

Pestle(Julgu); We use it when we make rice cakes. These days it almost disappears in big cities, but we can see in rural districts.

Woman's mirror ; Women used to use it when they applied their makeup.

Clay Jars; We use them widely. They can keep kimchi, soy sauce, soybean paste or something fresh.
