My Story

Hello my name is Lydia, I’m Peruvian. Peru has its coast on the Pacific Ocean in South America. My native language is Spanish.. I married and I met my husband in Alaska. We were working together in the same company. I was working in the Post Office last year for Christmas time only. But now I prefer to go to the college and learn more English and Computer. I have four sisters and three brothers and they are all are married and live in my country. Most of my family are in Peru. I miss them. But I have a cousin who lives in Las Vegas and works in a casino playing the piano.

When I came to U.S. I was living in Miami, Florida. I love that city. Then I lived in New Jersey. Many Spanish people live in those states so I couldn’t learn much English. I studied English until 4^th level in a different college 2 years ago. Now I’m taking 5^th level classes. Also I’m learning computer. I’m glad to be in this college and getting new friends. I like talking and helping to others.

I love summer time, that’s my favorite season. I used to go to the beach or the lake. I like outdoor sports. I like swimming and playing basketball. Also, I enjoy water sports like kayaking, and canoeing. My hobbies are: reading, listening music, and dancing. Also, I love musical boxes, and porcelain dolls. When I learn more English and Computer I would like to get a good job in the future if God will. I’m so glad to live in U.S. This is a great country which is full of good opportunities of job and studies for everybody without discrimination.
