Activity 1 - A Treasure Hunt
Print this page and then follow these directions. Write your
answers on the printed page.
- What is the one of the cover stories in today's issue of the Seattle Times?

- What will the weather in
Auburn, Washington
tomorrow? __________________________
- Find another part of the US or another country and find
out the weather there? Print out the results.
- Find a missing friend or relative with People
Search.
- Fill in the name and address of the person you are
looking for and click search.
- You can search for a phone number or an email address.
- Print any information that you find that is interesting.
- What movie has made the most money of all time?

- Enter your address into the search box of
Google Maps and get a map of your
neighborhood. You may want to get closer or back up. Use the + and - keys to
change the views. Print a map of your neighborhood.
- Click on the link for a satellite picture of your
neighborhood. Print the picture.
- Click on the link to find directions either from your
house or to your house. Print these directions.
- Use Google Local to find a store or service in your
neighborhood. What did you find?

News. Find a top story for today. Print it.
- Change the top stories Find news from your home country.
Print a top story.
- Find translation tools at Alta Vista's
Babel Fish. If it has your
native language, translate some text or search for web pages and translate
them into your language. Print this page.
- List items that you would like to find on the internet.
