How to Obtain Your Library Username and Password
1. Go to the first computer table behind the Information Desk on the second floor of the library. Sit down at one of the computers with yellow signs that say “Passwords/Student Kiosk.”
2. Move the mouse pointer to the “Home” icon (a tiny picture of a house at the top of the screen) and click once.
3. The next screen is called “Research Tools.” Move the mouse pointer to the words “Get Your Library Computer Password” (which is printed near the bottom of the screen) and click once.
4. The next screen is called “Your InfoCom Password.” Move the mouse pointer to the line that follows “First Name (Given Name).” (This line is near the bottom of the screen.) Click once in that line to obtain a “cursor” (a blinking vertical bar).
5. Type your first (“given”) name. Capitalize the first letter of your name.
6. Press the Tab key to move the cursor to the line that follows “Last Name (Family Name).”
7. Type your last (“family”) name. Capitalize the first letter.
8. Press the Tab key to move the cursor to the line that follows “Last 4 digits of your Student ID.”
9. Type the last four numbers of your student identification number.
10. Move the mouse pointer to the green button labeled “Retrieve Login Information.” Click once on this button.
11. The next screen should be titled “Your System Account Information.” If it says “Access Denied,” ask your instructor or one of the librarians for help.
12. Move the mouse pointer to the “Print” icon (a tiny picture of a printer at the top of the screen) and click once to print “Your System Account Information.”
13. Take your printout from the printer at the center of the table. Keep this printout.
