Vocabulary of the computer - The Tower
Directions: Print this page and then draw lines to show the correct location of the drives, cable connector and the on/off button.  

This is the tower or main part of the computer. It contains the drives, the cpu or the "thinking" part of the computer, and the connections for all the cables.


This is the CD drive.  CD's contain many programs, such as Inform and Encarta. You cannot save to the CD drive.

 This is the back of the tower. All the cables connect here. 

This is the floppy disk drive. It is used for disks to save your work. 

This is the on and off button. 


This is the Zip drive. It is used to save pictures and other large files.
Here is a cable and a connector for the mouse.
