A Search Engine helps you find information on the Internet or World Wide Web

1.  Click Start

2.  Click Programs

3.  Click Internet

4.  Click Internet Explorer

5.  At the ESL on the Web page click Student Activities

6.  Click Search the Web

7.  Now you can choose which Search Engine you want to use.

For example:  If you click Google, the page will look like this:

8.  Type the information that you are searching for in the blank box.

Example:

If I am looking for information about the country of Egypt, I would type Egypt in the box.

If I am looking for information about ESL, I would type English as a Second Language in the box.

9.  After you type in the box, click the gray box that reads Google Search

10. A list of web sites will appear on your screen.  Click the blue words that are underlined blue to connect to the web site.
