Vocabulary of the computer - The CD Drive


The first step is to find the CD Drive. It is at the top of your CPU. 


Find the small button on the lower right side of the CPU. This is the open and close button. Press it once. 

When you press the button, the CD tray will open. Once it opens, place a CD in the tray. 

Press the open and close button once more. The CD will go back into the drive. Once it goes in, it starts to run. Once it runs, the program can start because the computer will be able to find the information it needs on the CD.
CDROM spins 2 This is what is happening to the CD once the tray goes back into the CD drive. It is spinning so the computer will be able to find the information it needs
