The Center of Excellence for Careers in Education is designed to respond to the workforce training needs and related interests of educational institutions and industries in Washington State. This includes the expansion/strengthening of existing programs and creation of new program options to meet the education and training needs of an industry that is ever changing. We pride ourselves on being Washington State’s best resource for careers in education.
What the Center of Excellence for Careers in Education Has to Offer:
- Innovative programs for future educators and sharing of Best Practices;
- Support, mentoring, referrals and advising to community colleges and their K-20 partners for the creation and expansion of career-ladder programs in education;
- In-service training and professional development for current education professionals;
- Website resources to disseminate education news and training program information;
- Support for curriculum enhancement and expansion;
- Facilitation of articulation arrangements between secondary and postsecondary academic institutions.
