Basic Class Description: 

We will study differential and integral calculus of polynomial, logarithmic and exponential functions.  Many problems and examples are drawn from the fields of business, economics, and social science.  Graphing calculator required.  PREREQUISITE:  Math 147 with a 2.0 or higher or instructor's permission.

2/4 - Tray/Box problem:  Cut squares out of the 4 corners of a standard 8.5" X 11 " sheet of paper in order to make an open top tray that has the largest possible volume.  How big should the squares be?  (Not assigned, but good practice...)
