How to .... Guides:
How To Send Attachments in
GMAIL
1. Write in WORD and save it first. If you have a flash drive, be sure to save it on your flash drive.
If you have a picture from the digital camera or the scanner, then save that to the flash drive first.
2. Open GMAIL mail and click on Compose Mail to start writing your email.
3. Click To: and your contacts list will come up. Click on the person or people you want to send it to
and then click done.
4. Under the subject line, you will see the words, Attach a File. Click there.
5. A new window will appear. At the top of the window, you will see the words “select file(s) to upload
by mail.google.com” Now you need to browse. This means to search for the file you want to attach.
It should be on your flash drive.
6. At the top of the box you will see the words “Look in:” followed by an open box with a down arrow.
Click on the down arrow and find your flash drive. Now you will be looking at what is on your flash drive.
7. Click on the file you want to attach. GMAIL will automatically add this file as an attachment to your email.
You will see this attachment under the Subject line of your email.
8. Now type a message in the large text box on the bottom of the screen. Be sure to click on Check Spelling to check your message.
If you want, you can adjust the formatting of any of the text by using the buttons under the attachments.
9. When you are done with the message, click Send.
10. That's it! Your email with the attachment is on its way.
