3.  Colleges and Universities

Search   the web for the web site of a College or University in the Pacific Northwest that you are interested in attending or have a general interest in.  Find out about the history of that institution and relate its history to what Schwantes writes about on pages 274-278.  Email me a short paragraph relating the institution you studied to Schwantes.

4. Novel or Film

How well does the novel or film you viewed fit into Schwantes view of the Pacific Northwest as a "cultural hinterland?" (p. 286)

No need to respond to this question - I just ask it to give you something to think about since you are turning in your Movie/Novel Paper this week.
