As residents of the Pacific Northwest, there are many community issues of importance to us
in our everyday lives.

Salmon, transportation problems, old growth forests, overcrowding, water quality, and jobs
just to name a few.

To understand and help resolve these current problems, we must understand both the human
history of this region, as well as the region's natural history.

This course will help you understand both, and how human history and natural history are inter-related.
