2. Visit the "Maori Language Week" web site at

Browse through the page and learn about Maori Language. Also explore the rest of the site for information about the Language, the 100 words you should know, and the pronunciation of Maori. Then develop a short summary of what you discovered. (Short means 150-250 words or about 1/2 to 1 page typed double-spaced)

Read through the site and view the images in the "Sample the Show" box in the upper right hand corner. Then develop a short summary of what you discovered to bring to class. (Short means 150-250 words or about 1/2 to 1 page typed double-spaced)


4. Visit the "Waitangi Day" web site at http://www.nzhistory.net.nz/politics/waitangiday-introduction Browse through the page and learn about Waitangi Day. Also explore the rest of the site by visiting all the Related Links and taking the Waitangi Quiz. Then develop a short summary of what you discovered. 5. Visit The New Zealand Flag web site at http://www.mch.govt.nz/nzflag/index.html Read through the site and visit all the NZ Flag Topics in the box on the right hand side. Visit the New Zealand Coat-of-Arms web site at http://www.mch.govt.nz/coat-of-arms.htm Browse through the site and find out about the New Zealand Coat-of-Arms and visit all the "Coat-of-Arms Topics in the box on the right hand side.
