When can new students enroll?
You may enroll in the Information Technology program at the beginning of any quarter. However, fall quarter is the best time to start this program. The program hours are flexible with both day and online classes.

Prerequisites:
Complete an application to Green River Community College, complete the COMPASS Assessment, and meet with an advisor.

How long does the program take?
It depends on you. If you attend full time, the Associate in Applied Science degree requirements may be completed in eight quarters. The certificates can be completed in three to five quarters. If you attend part time, completion will depend on how many credits you earn each quarter.

Special fees:
Courses requiring special equipment have additional fees.

Personal requirements for success:
Students that are most likely to succeed in the IT field are those who delight in technology, are flexible, task oriented, enjoy challenges, pay close attention to detail, are team players, and enjoy learning new things on an ongoing basis.

Does the program transfer to four-year schools?
All transferability of courses is at the discretion of the receiving institution. Careful planning with an advisor and coordination of courses with the college or university of your choice is strongly recommended.
