Admissions
Applications are accepted beginning January 1st for the spring start program and February 15th for the fall program.
Applications are accepted until the program is filled. When the program fills, applicants will be placed on an alternate list.

OTA program admission requirements and the application process are subject to change from year to year. If you are planning to apply for a later year, the packet will provide guidelines for the application process. The application packet is updated each fall for the following year and it is the applicant’s responsibility to be aware of current application requirements.
Students are selected for the program who have demonstrated academic competence and a familiarity with occupational therapy including the essential functions of the occupational therapy assistant student. The procedures used in selection, evaluation and retention do not discriminate and are consistent with the policies of Green River Community College.
Students who satisfy admissions requirements will be selected as follows:
- All required supporting courses completed
- At least 15 quarter credits of required supporting courses completed including Essentials of Human Anatomy-Physiology 1 (AP 103)
If there are more applicants within a category than space available, selection will be made based on the order the application was received. Once the class is filled, additional applicants will be placed on an alternate list.
To submit an application to the OTA program, students must have:
- A college grade point average of 2.5 out of 4.0
- At least 15 quarter credits of required supporting courses including Essentials of Human Anatomy-Physiology 1 (AP 103)
- A plan for completion of required supporting courses* (see application packet below) prior to the beginning of the program
