Advisory Night 2009
On February 9, 2009 Project TIME sponsored its
third Parent/Student Math Advisory Night. The evening was attended by over 300 parents and students from various school districts.
Ruth Parker presented a problem from probability whose answer at first glance seems obvious, but as the data will show, first impressions are not always accurate.
Below is the collection of data from the various schools who participated in the experiment. Please notice the difference between individual school results and the total result.
