  • AMATYC 2008 - On November 20 -23, Project TIME representatives attended the 34th Annual AMATYC Conference in Washington, DC. The conference theme was "Washington, DC - A Monumental Place for Mathematics."  
  • WSU Vancouver Presentation (ppt) - On May 28, 2009 several members of Project TIME travelled to the WSU Vancouver campus to share ideas about the senior math course with about 30 high school teachers from the Vancouver area. The presentation was sponsored by the Southwest Transitions in Mathematics Education (SW-TIME) project. The link will give you the PowerPoint presentation.   • Math Advisory Night (ppt) -This is our 2008 Advisory Night PowerPoint. It will give you an idea of the types of information and activities that we share with parents and students.
  • TMP Summer Institute, August 2008 (ppt) - A summary of the senior math course is included with an outline of its development and content, the instructor reactions and lessons learned.
  • OSPI Conference Jan-08 Bridge (ppt) -In January 2008 amid the mounds of snow in Spokane, Joyce Hammer, Laura Moore-Mueller and Robin Washam presented information about the Project TIME senior math course, Applications in Mathematical Reasoning. This PowerPoint describes the rationale, effort, content and consequences of the first year pilot.
  • Quadratic Cliff Jumping (pdf) and Jumping off a Cliff (ppt) - In May 2008 Project TIME presented at the Washington State Community College Mathematics conference. Quadratic Cliff Jumping presents activities that can be used either to introduce quadratic functions or to help motivate the importance of these functions. A video clip from the Terminator 3 film is used as a culminating activity to determine whether the android can really land on the moving van!
