Our events aim to provide on-going support to college and high school math faculty and timely outreach to parents and students in partner school districts.
The 3rd Annual Parent/Student Math Advisory Night, which includes the online college math placement assessment will be held next February 2009. If you are interested in attending next year, please make a note that registration will begin in November 2008.

Recent Events
Here are a few events that Project TIME has hosted over the past few months.
January 9, 2008
- Training workshop for the senior math course on Game Theory and Finance was hosted by the Kent School District. Participants received course materials to support the pilot-test of the senior math course. The materials included TV and movie clips, COMAP materials, instructor resource notes and student activities.
February 28, 2008
- Training workshop for the senior math course on Modeling Continuous Data was hosted by the Renton School District. Activities included measurement, data collection and geometry.
February 12, 2008
- The second annual Parent/Student Math Advisory Night was a wonderful success with over 500 participants. Keynote Steve Willett from Microsoft’s X-Box Live encouraged students to look at lots of different occupations for the gaming industry (all of which require mathematics!) that are available at companies like Microsoft. Students were able to take the COMPASS placement. Participants received dinner thanks to Partnership for Learning. Other speakers included Rich Rutkowski, GRCC President, Barbara Grohe, Kent Superintendant, Terry Bergeson, State Superintendant and Laura Moore-Mueller, Project TIME Director.
