Programs and courses

Prospective PTA students are introduced to foundational courses for oral and written communication, mathematical calculations and human anatomy and physiology in the pre-requisite courses. These serve to give entering students the basic information and skills that they will need to succeed in the rest of the curriculum. Once admitted to the program, each quarter’s curriculum builds on previous coursework reinforcing what has been learned while introducing new information and skills sets. The basic idea is to start with less complex concepts and build to more complex thought processes and critical thinking throughout the program. Beginning fall quarter of the second year, students have the opportunity to apply their skills in clinical affiliations.
