Switchboard Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
To place a
local call from a campus telephone, dial “9” plus the number. Our
local calling area includes Tacoma/Puyallup to the south and
Bellevue/Issaquah to the North. Please contact the campus operator, ext. 0,
if you need assistance.
Telephones in the Classroom
Telephones have been installed in some classrooms around campus based on the following criteria:

Computer labs where Information Technology technician support would likely be required.

Classrooms with significant use of media equipment where media technicians would likely be required.

Classroom where safety is an issue or rooms are frequently used by students with special needs.
Classroom telephones are programmed to allow calls to on-campus extensions and Emergency 911 only. Speed dial buttons have been programmed for easy access to Security, Media Center, and Information Technology. If an instructor or technician has a need to place a call off-campus, they would need to dial “0” for assistance from the campus operator. If the switchboard is closed, the Security office will provide assistance (local calls only).

Voice Mail:
Voice mail service is available for part-time faculty. Please contact Shirley Benson, ext. 3355, to request a voice mailbox. Voice mail provides an excellent means of communicating with students from on or off campus.
TDD Service:
Telecommunication devices/methods for the deaf, hard of hearing, or speech impaired are available in several locations throughout campus. Please contact the Disability Support Services office, extension 4760, LSC-126, for TDD phone numbers and locations.
