Small Group Project Number 1 SPECH 234 Flex Fall 2002

  • In a __25________ minute lecture/workshop, your group will research, inform and/or facilitate a classroom activity to teach us about why a topic on Leadership is important.
  • Each group, with permission of instructor, will determine group topics. More details will be shared in class.
  • Your grade will reflect the professionalism of your presentation, how well you present your information, and your effectiveness of getting the information across to the audience (through repetition, visual aids, videos or interaction).
  • Each group member must cite at least one source.
  • An icebreaker activity to start your presentation must be used, and at least one visual aid must be used.
  • A 1 to 2 page 12 pt. typed and double spaced paper evaluating the effectiveness of your group as a whole (what worked, what didn’t work, and what you would do differently) must be completed.
  • On another page, a grade for each individual’s contribution with a 1-2 paragraph justification for that grade.
  • The evaluation and grades will be due Thursday of the week after your group’s presentation.
  • The evaluation will include at least six group dynamic terms from Chapters 2, 3, 4, or 5 from the In Mixed Company (highlight words), and be free of spelling and grammatical errors.
  • A formal outline and bibliography of the project will be presented to the instructor at the beginning of your presentation.
  • Be creative.
  • Have fun.
  • Presentations will be delivered on Saturday October 26, 2002
