illustrated series of pages that walk you through the
replication/infection cycle of HIV.
- Immunology and AIDS
Reviews the immune system and explore how the system can both
protect us and provide experimental tools to detect disease causing
agents. Includes a lab simulation of the spread of a hypothetical
disease causing agent in the classroom, and shows how the presence
of antibodies in a sample of body fluid can be used to determine if
individuals are infectious. Looks at the transmission of HIV and
recent advances in AIDS treatment.
