Green River College's highly respected Natural Resources programs lead to an Associate in Applied Science degree or new! Bachelor's of Applied Science degree (BAS). Our Forestry A.A.S. degree is one of only two natural resources A.A.S. degrees in Washington recognized by the Society of American Foresters and one of only 24 recognized by SAF in North America.

Our Bachelor's degree is the only Applied Science degree in the area focusing on hands-on skills to make you job ready, and represents more than a 40% cost savings to the student when compared to Natural Resources Bachelor's degree programs at other state and regional Universities.

Green River College's Natural Resources program prepares you for immediate employment in forestry, water quality, park management, or wildland fire. Students work with both instructors and natural resources professionals in the field using state of the art technology.

Natural Resources faculty and staff have the ideal combination of industry experience in natural resources and advanced degrees, and are dedicated to helping you succeed in your studies.

Green River's A.A.S. degrees will transfer to a 4 year University, OR stay with us for another 2 years to earn your BAS! Earning your Bachelor's degree will increase your eligibility for upper level, permanent positions in the Natural Resources field. Your BAS degree will also transfer to graduate degree programs if you wish to continue your studies.
