Active Learning is a term that means engaging each student fully. The following points will give you ideas for how to add to what you are already doing in your classes in order to get your students actively "plugged in" during class.

Learning Styles: This link provides two of the multiple definitions of learning styles. Most teaching courses will advise that you design your daily instruction to hit the majority of the learning styles of your students. Therefore, use this list to help you revamp lessons that are primarily in one mode/address just one or two learning styles.
