8. Tuesday 04/15/2014: 

   • Group quiz on Chapter 16 (ALE's 1 - 5) and the Iodine Clock Lab (Lab 1)--bring your lab notebook since you can use it during the quiz! In addition to questions related to ALEs 1 - 5, you will be asked to predict how long it will take the iodine clock reaction to change color at a temperature either above or below room temperature and at reactant concentrations different than those used in lab.

   • The report for Lab 1 Report: is due today!

9. Exam #1 will be here in a blink of an eye or two! It will be administered outside of class time in GRCC Testing Center (bring picture ID) on the dates below (your choice). Give yourself about two hours to finish the exam--some of you may need less time, some of you more.

   • Wednesday 4/16/14 (Testing Center Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) OR

   • Thursday 4/17/14 (Testing Center Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

10. Take a peak at the Exam 1 Study Guide, practice test and the practice exam. NOTE:  The practice exam is intended to give you an idea of the kind of questions to expect. The actual exam given WILL differ from this one.

      • Be sure to make corrections to all questions on ALE's 1-5 before turning in your portfolio and before taking exam #1! Place a "check" next to all correct answers on each  ALE and make corrections as needed, either on separate paper attached to each ALE, or clearly highlighted in another color of pen or pencil directly on each ALE---do not copy answers from the answer key: this is plagiarism, moreover, no learning will occur. Get help with those questions you don't understand. Sources of help include:
